This morning I awoke as the sun tickled my cheek through the window overlooking South Mountain Reservation. The perfect temperature of the warmed hardwood floors danced through my toes as I gracefully slipped out of bed. I sauntered into my newly renovated, inviting, well-stocked kitchen and fondly reminisced about working with my hero, Mo Soliman of Curb Appeal Designs on our project.

I opened the sub-zero refrigerator to plan my meals for the day. For any menu I contemplated, every single ingredient was available and easily accessed thanks to the universal design ergonomic cabinetry doors and drawers.  For items not cooling, ripening or stored in this epicurean oasis, it was only a short walk outside to my organic garden. Immediately through the eight foot French doors past the breakfast nook, it offered up its succulent, plump flesh to marinate, chop, dice or saute. Curb Appeal Design was spot on for recommending this garden concept to enhance our property.

Once back inside with my basket overflowing with delicacies, my entire extended family was fast at work around the granite-surfaced center island with its adjacent work areas. Whether whipping eggs, marinating meat, or cutting veggies we did not get in each other’s way in this plentiful space and perfect floor plan.  As the meal prep progressed, everything was splendidly ready on time and the food easily transported to the adjacent dining area.

Everyone jovially gathered around the table ready to begin the feast, including the teenagers who didn’t need the usual reminders and txts to appear! As you can imagine, the meal was outstanding, the conversation lively and the room ambiance beyond rapturous. At one point, I glanced over above the side table at my treasured, calligraphic masterpiece, “Home, Sweet Home. Compliments of the Curb Appeal Design team” and surely understood the essence of its meaning.

Clean up was so quick and easy I hardly remember it. With our stomachs full, we said our goodbyes with warm hugs and kisses. I felt a tapping on my shoulder a few times and soon it became a shaking tug more intense by the second.   “HEY are you getting up today?”, my husband’s scratchy voice came into focus as I opened my eyes.  He snuggled up “Awww…you look so happy.” To which I smugly replied “I really am. I had my DREAM kitchen dream again.
Can we call Mo today so we can finally make this DREAM a REALITY?”
