Curb Appeal Design’s Fine Workmanship Donation of
Patio Seating Area for Spring and Summer Park Enjoyment

Almost forty years after the William G. Mennen Sports Arena officially opened to the public in 1975, it continues to be a Morris County highlight. This spring the facility sports a new 15,000 square foot patio seating area thanks to the contributions and donations of local landscaper and home improvement specialist Mo Soliman and his Curb Appeal Design crew.

Curb Appeal Design became involved in this special project through their work with The Park Alliance, the non-profit organization that works in support of Morris County’s parks, historic sites, and open spaces.  Soliman donated his design and workmanship installing the pavers and stones at the Mennen Arena that include an attractive seating area for the popular recreation destination.  Denise Lanza, Director of The Park Alliance, who was instrumental in overseeing the project, is delighted. “The community-minded volunteerism of Curb Appeal Design brings beauty and practicality to public spaces. Their generosity is an example for others to follow.”

Regular Arena visitors especially love the new addition and summer brings many more from Morris County and beyond. “It’s a wonderful location for people to go out and enjoy the area while they have children skating inside. They can get a bite to eat at the snack bar and enjoy the weather,” says Reynold Fauci, Director of Recreation for Morris County Parks. Traveling circus attendees recently sat out on the new patio wall during intermission, something they were unable to do before. Slated this summer at the Arena are the American Cancer Society’s  Relay for Life, National Night Out and possibly the Giralda Music and Arts Festival of the Arts Council of the Morris County Area.

Another one of Soliman’s service projects this spring was the implementation of outdoor gardens for Morristown Medical Center’s Women's Association Mansion in May signature fundraising event. Proceeds raised from the month-long open house at Glynallyn Mansion in Convent Station, NJ support the Inpatient Hospice & Palliative Care Center at Morristown Medical Center.

Volunteering for the community is a core value at Curb Appeal Design. Soliman believes his contracting team has a special gift to share with the community. “We enjoy giving back as individuals as well,” he says.   All the time, labor and elbow grease at the Mennen Arena and Glynallyn projects are donated by Soliman and are estimated to be around $100,000.

From the 20,000 guests expected to visit Mansion in May to the one million visitors expected to enjoy the Mennen Arena and grounds this year, Curb Appeal Design’s efforts have enhanced the leisure activities and recreation for many.
